197 – Harrisburg Marathon – Kim Wickel
I don’t get the chance to do many Marathon interviews, I’d like to do more to be honest. But this marathon experience is very unique. I loved talking with Kim about her recent race at the Harrisburg Marathon. We talk about her training, confidence, sacrifices, and most of all her goals. Her goal was more subjective than objective and we talk about why and how this is important to her. If you’ve been listening for a while, you’ve noticed a trend of when people like to eat prior to their IRONMAN© Races, but for marathons, it’s a bit different. She talks about how, why, when, and what she eats prior and during as well. Nutrition is very important for Kim for many different reasons just like most athletes, but allegories to common products make things more challenging. Kim, congrats on not only a BQ, but also a NYC Marathon Qualifying time. I look forward to following you in the future!
