278 - IRONMAN© Santa Rosa – Matt Fitzgerald
Matt needs no introduction as he has written countless books on endurance running, triathlons, mindset, and even finding your best Race Weight. I am grateful for the change to talk with Matt about his race at Santa Rosa this year. The way he deals with adversity during the race and the “Don’t Panic” attitude is something I personally made note. We talk about his new book, Life is a Marathon: A Memoir of Love and Endurance. Something most folks don’t know about Matt is that he is always learning from himself and he loves testing himself for others to see. I’ve been following Matt’s blog for a while now and I believe we could all learn something just by following him. Near the end we talk about the kamikaze marathon and what it means to do this in a race. His definition of perfection in a race is something that even after 260 plus interviews I haven’t heard yet. I hope you all enjoy this episode as much as I enjoyed recording it. Matt, I wish you the best and am grateful for your time. Get a copy of his newest book here:
