179 – IRONMAN© World Championship – Elizabeth James

In this episode of the Pursuit of the Perfect Race, I talk with my friend and coach Elizabeth James.  Elizabeth got her slot from IRONMAN© Chattanooga in 2017 and has been training for this race for a long time.  She came on earlier this year for the Boston Marathon recap as well as the IRONMAN© Buffalo Springs series.  She has a great amount to say about this race and shares a ton of information and insight with me in this episode.  While her time isn’t exactly what she wanted, she shares what it’s like to change the time goals and live up to the expectations.  She tells me how she remains grounded through a long event such as IRONMAN© and even how to approach the race with Gratitude.  Thank you so much Elizabeth for coming back on the show, I have enjoyed following you this year and look forward to many great races in your future!
