33 - Boston Marathon - Matt Triick

In this episode of the Pursuit of the Perfect Race, I talk with my friend Matt Triick.  He talks about how he uses his skills as a Registered Dietitian to himself.  While the weather on race day was not ideal by any means, this suits his abilities and his mentality with endurance events.  He talks about how his non race day nutrition before the race is unique and loves having something unique prior the race. We had an interesting person chime in during the interview, you may recognize her voice. He passes on information about how he stays injury free.  He also talks about the amazing feeling of the race atmosphere in Boston and how embracing the community, city, and people are of all of the visitors. This truly makes anyone that hasn’t done the race at least want to go to spectate the race or even go after the infamous Boston Qualifying race to toe the line in Hopkinton. His approach to every race is very special and worth the listen.
