IM70.3 IW 2018

214 - IRONMAN© 70.3 Indian Wells – Barkley Hope

Ready for a really powerful and moving episode?  This has some toughness to it.  Barkley is an amazing woman who is a mom of two wonderful boys and earlier last year she was struck by a pig farmer in a truck while she was out riding her bike.  Her story is her’s to tell and she tells it with no resentment, anger, or hostility.  Her humbleness, kindness, and openness towards the situation is truly remarkable.  Her coach Matt Dixon is patient, understanding, and guides her in a way that many coaches should strive to achieve.   At Indian Wells, she placed second her age group with the fastest swim and fastest run in her age group.  With the first place passing on the slot to Nice, Barkley attained her slot for Worlds!  Thank you so much for coming on the show Barkley and I wish you the best in 2019!
